2:10 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Willis Lane for a death investigation. A 19-year-old male was found dead from suicide.

Friday, April 1

7:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on North Davis Street for a 59-year-old unconscious male, who was determined to be deceased.

Monday, April 4

2:45 p.m. Police were given a capsule containing a light brown powder substance that was found in the girl's bathroom in the gym lobby area of Pea Ridge High School.

10:48 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Susan Elisabeth Curtis, 31, Bella Vista, on an outstanding warrant out of Fayetteville for failure to appear.

Tuesday, April 5

6:22 p.m. Police were dispatched to Neighborhood Market for a theft. A resident of Pea Ridge told police he had purchased items at the customer service desk and forgotten his wallet on the counter. He said that before he realized the loss, he noticed multiple new charges on his bank account from liquor stores in the edge of Missouri. He notified the bank of the theft. He was also advised to file a report with McDonald County, Mo., Sheriff's Office. As a result of the investigation, police obtained warrants for the arrest of the suspects. The incident is still under investigation.

10 p.m. Police transported a suspect for Little Flock Police due to the Little Flock officer having a K9 in the car.

Wednesday, April 6

1:10 a.m. Police investigated a two-vehicle accident on It'll Do Road involving vehicles driven by Ashley Nicole Shafer, 18, Siloam Springs, and Joshua Bunting, 27, Bella Vista. According to the report, Shafer was northbound on It'll Do Road when she noticed a south-bound vehicle drifting into her lane. Despite her attempt to avoid the collision, Shafer said her vehicle was struck by the oncoming vehicle causing it to spin and come to rest in the ditch. She saw the driver of the other vehicle flee down It'll Do Road until out of sight. While driving north to the accident scene, a Pea Ridge officer saw a vehicle missing its front driver's side tire and parked at an angle. The driver, Bunting, told police he hit a deer. Bunting refused to take a portable breath test. Bunting was arrested for DWI, refusal to submit, careless driving, driving left of center and no proof of insurance.

8:21 a.m. Police were dispatched to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic in reference to four stray dogs transported to the clinic. A resident of Seligman, Mo., told police she had picked up the four dogs running in the middle of Hayden Road. Three of the dogs were females, one was a male.

12:37 p.m. Police were notified that a sink in the boy's bathroom in the gym lobby had apparently been ripped from the wall. A witness reported the incident happening between 10 and 11 a.m. on April 6. Two males admitted to a school official they had accidentally knocked the sink off the wall and attempted to replace it, unsuccessfully. School officials said they did not wish to pursue criminal charges.

Friday, April 8

1:45 p.m. Police took a report of a private property accident downtown involving a parked vehicle owned by Charles A. Townsend, 53, Pea Ridge, and a Juan Calderon, 50, Rogers, who backed into Townsend's truck. Calderon was cited for no proof of insurance.

Saturday, April 9

7:06 p.m. Police took a report of a private property accident involving vehicles driven by James Belden, 48, Pea Ridge, and Randy Sawyer, 53, Pea Ridge. The accident happened in the Pizza Hut parking lot.

11:10 p.m. A resident of McCulloch Street reported suspicious activity involving someone lifting the tarp off his boat parked behind his house. Police did not find the suspect.

Sunday, April 10

7:25 a.m. Police were dispatched to South Curtis Avenue at Sugar Creek Road in reference to someone hitting a deer with a vehicle. An injured deer was found; Game and Fish Commission was notified.
