Beta Alpha

Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) International is a special organization -- an organization that is truly defined by the hearts of its members. An international leadership and service organization, ESA is a place where members develop meaningful friendships, find their passion for community service, and continue on the path of lifelong learning.

Who we are: Beta Alpha chapter No. 3293, Pea Ridge

What we do: We hold a wide array of activities for the community each year. Some of them include: Easter Egg Hunt, Miss Pea Ridge pageants, Summer and Christmas parades, Community Thanksgiving dinner, Hope for Heroes projects, raising money for St. Jude and Easter Seals, Seligman Spook Trail.

How to get involved: We meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran church. Come to a meeting or come to an event and see how we serve our community. We would love to hear your ideas and have you join our group.

Glade Community Historical Society

John Cross is the featured speaker at the second quarter 2016 meeting at 3 p.m. April 24. The meeting is free for all GCHS members and their guests. The public is also welcome, also at no charge. Cross' topic will be All Things, Eureka Springs and he will tell us much we might not know about his town. The meeting is at the Lost Bridge Community room on Whitney Mountain and refreshments will be served.

Also mark your calendars for May 27-28 for the Garfield School Reunion. There's a PTO Cook-Out on Friday, May 27 at 5 p.m. at the Garfield School. Then on May 28, former students will get together at the NEBCO Community Center, Hwy. 62 and South Wimpy Jones Road in Garfield, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A luncheon will be served at noon; reservations are $15/person. The 2016 annual Glade Community Historical Society dues can still be paid to Sam Reynolds, treasurer, at 20916 Slate Gap Road, Garfield, AR 72732.
