Clean up set

GARFIELD -- The city clean up will be held 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, behind the Short Stop Grill at the city shop, according to Mayor Gary Blackburn.

New this year will be the acceptance of tires -- four passenger tires without rims and emptied of all debris. Other items accepted include household electronics, scrap metal, cardboard and trash, but no yard debris or trash.

Not accepted will be furniture and household items, refrigerated appliances, household hazardous wastes, freon, leaves, branches or yard debris.
