Beta Alpha recently installed their new officers for 2016-2017 during a candlelit ceremony held at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian church. The newly elected officers are: Tanna Whisenhunt, president; Amy Barnett, vice president; Sandy Fletcher, secretary; and Karen Kitterman, treasurer.

Those appointed to an office by the new president were: Jim Crews, parliamentarian; Dorothy Williams, chaplain; and Amy Barnett, educational director.

Amy Barnett was voted Outstanding Member of the Year by the chapter.

Beta Alpha is a non-profit, community service philanthropic group. Members serve the Pea Ridge community in a wide array of activities from the annual Easter Egg hunt, Miss Pea Ridge pageants, Thanksgiving community dinner and the annual Christmas parade, just to name a few.

Beta Alpha meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran church.
