Garfield teen chosen as Arkansas Children's Hospital ambassador

Special to The TIMES

LITTLE ROCK -- Morgan Guyll, 15, of Garfield, has been selected to represent Arkansas Children's Hospital as an ACH Ambassador. Morgan and 11 other patients were recently introduced as Ambassadors at a luncheon in their honor.

Arkansas Children's Hospital Ambassadors are a group of current and former ACH patients nominated and chosen by hospital staff, board members and volunteers to serve as ambassadors and advocates for Arkansas Children's Hospital.

The Aambassadors represent the thousands of other children treated annually at Arkansas Children's Hospital and its clinics. For one year, Ambassadors and their families will share their ACH experiences at special events and through printed materials.

At age 13, Morgan began experiencing extreme back and abdominal pain. After an MRI, she was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor and had surgery to remove the tumor. Morgan is now doing well and is very active in school. She plans to pursue a career in nursing and hopes to one day work in the neonatal intensive care unit at ACH.

The Ambassadors represent communities across the state and region. Each Ambassador has a fundraising page at giving.archildrens.org and is raising funds for Arkansas Children's Hospital.
