War Eagle Mill History

Former War Eagle Mill owner Zoe Medlin Caywood will present, "With My Nose to the Grindstone: The Rebirth of War Eagle Mill," at noon Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. In 1973, Caywood and her parents, Jewell and Leta Medlin, rebuilt the mill, the fourth War Eagle Mill to be constructed on the site along the banks of War Eagle River in Benton County. Zoe Caywood owned and operated the mill for over thirty years, until selling the mill in 2004 to Marty and Elise Roenigk of Eureka Springs.
