Blackhawk Pride celebrated

Seventh-grade Blackhawk football players are coached by Matt Easterling.

Hank the Hawk joined the festivities Friday night in the Battlefield -- Blackhawk Stadium.

Varsity and junior high football players shook hands as the junior high team left the field and the senior high team walked onto the field for introductions.

Little Blackhawks Khale Wade (left), son of Mark and Heather Wade, Teagan Stewart, and Kayti Jo Reynolds, 4, and Natalee Jean Reynolds, 2, daughters of Josh and Kathy Reynolds, play in the gravel near the concession stand Friday night during Blackhawk Pride Night under the watchful eyes of their mothers.

Volunteers work the concession serving hamburgers, nachos, candy and soft drinks.

Parents and grandparents of Blackhawk athletes were on hand to watch, applaud and photograph their children.

Students of the Visual Arts class at Pea Ridge video the events on the field and broadcast them on the electronic scoreboard. Aaron Karczewski manned the camera nearest the scoreboard.

Volunteers took a break after cooking Friday night.
