Pick up a good mystery

Ghosts and goblins and witches and pumpkins abound alongside Halloween books for children in the Pea Ridge Community Library. Curious George and Charlie Brown books and dozens of others are displayed in the children's area. What could be better for the adults than a really good mystery novel by James Patterson, John Sanford, Lee Childs, Patricia Cornwell, Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich or by one of your other favorite writers. Agatha Christie mysteries have been popular for years and we have several to choose from. How about a book about Ghosts of the Ozarks?

"See Me," the latest novel by Nicholas Sparks will be available for checkout this week and is sure to be popular with our readers. Get your name on the reserve list early. In his latest book "Saturn Run," John Sandford teams up with internationally known photo-artist and science fiction aficionado Ctein. If you have not read anything by Nicholas Sparks or John Sandford we have a number of books by each that you could peruse while waiting to read these new releases.

Many more patrons are using the public use computers. Just a reminder that while the library staff is happy to provide basic help on the computer, we are unable to provide assistance with completing a job application, writing a resume, or filling out government paperwork, etc. We are hoping to locate a free or low cost beginning computer class in Northwest Arkansas. Will keep you advised.

The library is seeking a part-time library aide to work 30-hours per week including four hours on Saturday. Stop by City Hall or the library during normal business hours for an application.

See you at the library!
