New Meadowbrook EH Club

Members of the New Meadowbrook Extension Homemaker's Club met at the First Baptist Church in Garfield on Wednesday, May 13, for their regular meeting. President Karen Launderville presided over the meeting with all members reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. The devotions were given by Elaine Launderville reading from a Senior Devotions that one should think about slowing down in life to enjoy it to the fullest, and also one should have forgiveness in their life. She read an interesting item on Creation and also a very touching poem "Alone"!

Ms. Launderville gave the dates of upcoming events for the club and a discussion of the County Fair to be held in August. Roll call was answered by members stating "What I plan to preserve for home and the fair!"

Thank you notes were read of the donations made to God's Pantry and to Garfield Elementary School from proceeds of a quilt which was made and then sold by the members of the club.

Ms. Launderville discussed the writing of one's will and also what needs to be done for one to take care of all their belongings. She had handouts pertaining to the discussion.

The meeting was closed with members reciting the Extension Homemaker's Creed.
