DOVER -- Heavy rain that swept across the Arkansas River valley washed out several regional baseball and softball tournament games on Friday.
The 4A-North regional tournaments got started on time at 10 a.m. Friday, but torrential downpours around 11:30 a.m. sent teams scurrying for cover. After lengthy delays, officials for both the baseball and softball tournaments canceled the rest of the games.
