Man arrested for drugs

Pea Ridge Police arrested David Johnson, 43, Garfield, for felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia after an investigation.

According to a press release, Detective Brandon Davis noted suspicious activity about 8:55 a.m. March 13 near the areas of Van Dorn and McCulloch streets. After receiving consent to search a residence, police found and seized multiple metal spoons with cotton and residue, a metal straw with white residue on the inside, multiple lighters, multiple used syringes and a clear crystal like substance with the consistency of "high quality" methamphetamine. Davis was still in the Benton County Jail Tuesday in lieu of a $3,500 bond. The investigation is continuing, according to Police Chief Ryan Walker.
