Members of Westside Baptist Church are celebrating March 14 (3.14.15) as Pi day with pie. Pi is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159.
Beginning at 6 pm. Saturday, March 14, Frito pies for $1 will be served by the youth.
During this time, several members are on the list to get a pie in the face including Gary David, John Garrett, Steve Ferguson, pastor Randy James, Steve Jordan and Billy Moore. Participants are invited to vote for the person they want to get a pie in the face for $1.
At 7 p.m. there will be a pie auction of home-baked pies.
Bluegrass music will be played following the auction.
Everyone is invited to the fundraiser for the youth. Ten percent of funds raised will go to support a missionary supported by the church.
