Community service is part of education at Pea Ridge Manufacturing and Business Academy and Pea Ridge Academy. Students from both schools spent a couple of days working at Pea Ridge National Military Park moving split rail fences.

"It's good for the community," Ethan Burton, student, said.

Student Josh Johnson said he enjoyed the work.

Cathy Segur, teacher at PRMBA, said the students said they enjoyed the work.

"They've all been working really hard," Josh Johnson, director of Pea Ridge Academy, said.

"It's a big deal; they've made a lot of progress in a day," Johnson said.

Team building was one of the benefits of having students from the two different academies work on the project together.

"We will do this again," Charley Clark, director of PRMBA, said.

Pea Ridge Mayor Jackie Crabtree said it was a great cooperative effort.

"We very grateful for their work," Sheri Nodine, Pea Ridge National Military Park ranger, said.
