Friday, June 26

11:25 a.m. Police took a report of a private property accident on the Neighborhood Market parking lot. James F. Henderson, 58, Eureka Springs, was cited for careless and prohibited driving.

10:05 p.m. Police were contacted regarding a missing person, Timothy Wood, who reportedly lived in Pea Ridge. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that he no longer lived in the city.

9:45 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Todd Circle for a stray dog. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The owner, Nicholas Rumancik, 34, Pea Ridge, was cited for dog at large after claiming the dog.

Saturday, June 27

10:36 a.m. Police took a report of a two-vehicle accident involving vehicles driven by Oscar K. Rodgers, Decatur, and Larry D. Holliday, Bentonville.

Monday, June 29

8:09 p.m. Police were dispatched to Wright's Laundromat for a criminal mischief involving a glass window that had been broken, apparently from the inside. The suspect was located the next day and given a trespass warning. The property owner did not want to press charges.

Tuesday, June 30

10:40 a.m. Police picked up a stray dog at a residence on Pike Street. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.

7:58 p.m. Police initiated a traffic on a man who did not have a valid identification and who claimed to be someone he was not. The man fled the scene, traveling at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, according to the police report, and in a manner dangerous to other drivers. The incident is under investigation.

Wednesday, July 1

9 a.m. A resident of Gen. Franz Sigel reported her wallet was stolen out of her vehicle while it was parked at a church on North Curtis Avenue.

9:57 a.m. Police were dispatched to a resident on Sims Lane for a report of animal cruelty involving neglect of two dogs. Both dogs were transported to Pea Ridge Vet Clinic for assessment.

4:32 p.m. A juvenile female reported she had been bitten by a dog at a residence on North Davis Avenue. The dog was quarantined until proof of rabies vaccination could be provided.

Friday, July 3

9:30 a.m. Police assisted Benton County Sheriff's deputies by making a traffic stop on a vehicle coming into the city pulling a trailer that was reported stolen. The driver was detained and the scene was turned over to deputies when they arrived.

10:47 a.m. A resident turned in a cell phone that was found.

1 p.m. A resident of W.M.B. Franklin Street reported dogs in her yard and that one growled at her children. Police caught a pug and a beagle and took them to Pea Ridge Vet.

3 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested William A. Herron, 61, Sulphur Springs, for carrying a weapon (a loaded handgun), driving on a suspended license, a warrant from Gravette and cited for speeding. He was booked into the Benton County Jail. His vehicle was towed by Erwin's wrecker service.

4:10 p.m. A resident of Park Circle reported a burglary/theft involving prescription medication.

Saturday, July 4

9:50 a.m. Police received a report of 250 gallons of gasoline stolen from the cart shed at Big Sugar Golf Course.

Sunday, July 5

10:15 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop at Sugar Creek and Ryan Road, police arrested Christopher C. Prevatt, 42, Fayetteville, for driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and equipment violation for a brake light.

11:30 p.m. Police found a stray Basset hound at the intersection of Lee Street and Sugar Creek and took it to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.

4:17 p.m. A resident of Washburn Drive reported a missing 17-year-old male. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the young man and a 15-year-old female were both missing and had apparently run away.
