Sale books half price on Saturdays

Well, the Summer Reading Program has now finished; we had 35 children sign-up! Thanks and congratulations to all who participated in this year's challenge. All who participated in the awards of the Summer Reading Program had to turn in their reading log to qualify for the prizes, and as of the 25th we have had 18 turned in. Next year perhaps we will get everybody's logs in so that all can join in the celebration. We have had many that are very close!

We will have the party for the Summer Reading Program at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11. We ask that the immediate family only accompany the children to the party, please. We want to make sure that everyone can get enough of the goodies provided.

Library hours

Monday and Tuesday

1 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Wednesday and Thursday

10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Saturdays

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The library will be closed this Saturday, July 4, in observance of our nation's birthday. We will be back to normal hours on Monday, July 6. We hope that you have a fun and most importantly a safe time this holiday and we look forward to seeing you again on Monday afternoon.

We have had a few books come in that we have ordered to be shipped when they come out as well as a handful of books that have been donated to us. They are processed and ready for you to find them on the new shelf. If you do not see the one you want, be sure to stop by the desk and ask to be put on a waiting list, so that when they come in we can give you a call.

We have had quite a few books donated recently and so our Free Section and our Sale Tables are constantly being replenished. Remember that Saturdays are our half-price days. Be sure to come in on Saturdays and find a great bargain.

Please remember, we are a small library and our books should be enjoyed by as many patrons as possible. Checking out one new book at a time and returning them as soon as you are finished helps allow others to read them as well. There are several new releases along with the "regulars" that have quite a waiting list. We simply are not able to get the books out to the patrons as speedily as we would like, your patience with us is greatly appreciated.

That is all I have for you this week. Keep reading for news on all things for the library here in the paper and do not forget about our Facebook page. Come see us at the library and bring someone with you!
