Many new books

This past week was devoted to processing new and donated books and getting them ready for check-out. We are very pleased that we have been able to add two Jenny B. Jones books to our collection -- "Can't Let You Go" and "On the Loose." These are shelved in the teen section and you will probably need to get your name on the reserve list.

Other new titles include "Private India: City on Fire" and "Private Vegas" by James Patterson; "Bones Never Lie" (Temperance Brennan Series #17) by Kathy Reichs; "The Perfect Witness: A Novel" by Iris Johansen; "Assassination Option" and "Top Secret," Clandestine Operations books 1 and 2 by W. E. B. Griffin. "Throne of Glass" is book one in a young adult fantasy novel series by American author Sarah J. Maas. Book two, "Crown of Midnight," is also available.

"Scorched Eggs" is the sixth installment in the Cackleberry Club mystery series by Laura Childs. I haven't read any in this series but have read and enjoyed all of her Tea series books. Another good mystery is "The Blood of an Englishman" by M. C. Beaton.

For our Western readers we have added several new paperbacks including a few in the Walt Longmire series -- "As The Crow Flies," "Hell is Empty" and "Serpent's Tooth."

Several new teen books by James Patterson are now available -- "Ultimate Showdown," "Paris Mysteries," "Lost," "Witch & Wizard," "Game Over," "Angel," "I Even Funnier" and "I Totally Funniest."

"I Do Wish This Cruel War Was Over" collects diaries, letters and memoirs excerpted from their original publication in the Arkansas Historical Quarterly to offer a first-hand, ground-level view of the war's horrors, its mundane hardships, its pitched battles and languid stretches, even its moments of frivolity.

See a title that sounds interesting? Call us at 451-8442 and reserve it. Only one new release per patron. A number of popular magazines are also available.

We are celebrating Girl Scouts, Valentine's Day and Black History Month at the library this month.

See you at the library!
