Monday, Jan. 19

11:30 a.m. As a result of an investigation, police received and served a warrant for filing a false police report on Michael Brooks, 58, Pea Ridge.

Tuesday, Jan. 27

1 a.m. While on patrol, police noticed a door standing open on a vacant residence and found other evidence of someone having been in the house. The owner was notified.

12:24 p.m. The owner of a vending machine at Wright's Laundromat reported criminal mischief.

1:25 p.m. A resident of Garfield reported theft of prescription medications from her vehicle while it was parked at a business in Pea Ridge.

Tuesday, Jan. 28

8:30 a.m. Police arrested Anthony Curtis Wayne Fine, 22, Pea Ridge, at City Hall for public intoxication, resisting arrest, third-degree battery and disorderly conduct after he was "belligerent, argumentative and used foul language" at city prosecutor Rick Hardwick. After being administered a portable breathalyzer test, police attempted to arrest Fine. He resisted and during the altercation, "opened a gash/scrap (sic)" on an officer's hand causing it to bleed.

Friday, Jan. 29

12:26 p.m. Police were notified of a theft of service from Pea Ridge Water Department at 219 McCulloch Street. The water was illegally reconnected without a meter. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Michael D. Raper, 25, Pea Ridge, for theft.

7:53 p.m. A resident of Greene Street reported that a male got out of a black van, walked to their house and looked in their daughter's bedroom window. It reportedly happened twice when adults are not home.

Saturday, Jan. 30

1:17 p.m. Police were notified of three small dogs running loose near Sugar Creek Road and Captain Miller Boulevard. Two dogs were captured and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. A third was not captured.

5:40 p.m. Police saw a "young girl" pushing a bicycle southbound on Hayden road with a vehicle driving nearby. Upon investigation, it was learned that the 14-year-old girl was purportedly running away and her father was attempting to get her to return home. The police officer spoke to the girl, who eventually got into her father's vehicle and returned home.

8:35 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Lynn Drive for a verbal disturbance and theft. It was reported that about 50 prescription pills were missing. Police questioned the juvenile suspects. The incident is still under investigation.

Sunday, Jan. 31

9:12 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on McCulloch Street for a "disoriented woman" behind a residence who was "acting 'scared of people.'" The resident of the home were not present. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Helen Brooks, 60, for public intoxication.

12:32 p.m. Police were dispatched to the area of Ark. Hwy. 94/McNelly Road for a cow in the road. The owner of the cow was contacted and he returned the cow to the pasture.

Sunday, Feb. 1

12:34 a.m. A resident of Weston Street reported a prowler, saying someone had knocked on the side of her vehicle. Police found no sign of a prowler; police agreed to provide additional patrol of the area.

4:39 p.m. harassing communications, 495 Washburn Dr.
