As I sit here trying to write this last column for the year, I am almost at a loss for words. The devastation this rain is causing is heart-breaking. As we drove home Sunday from St. Louis, we saw so much flooding. And it will only continue to get worse as the rain continues.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and that Santa was good to you. Our St. Louis trip was good but much more tiring than I had expected it to be. But it was worth it be able to spend time with our families. There was lots of visiting and good food and play-time with the grandkids.
Library hours
1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday
10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays
Our plans are to spend this week at the library taking down our beautiful holiday decorations. The display spaces will be available to any civic group or organization interested in sharing information about their group. Just call the library at 451-8442 or come by during normal business hours to reserve space.
Are you are clearing out your DVD collection to make room for the new ones you received for Christmas? Remember the library would love to have your old ones. Our collection is growing but we can always use more.
The December Library Board meeting was rescheduled for Jan. 7. Meetings are held at 1:30 p.m. in the Quiet Room at the library on the fourth Thursday of each month.
Wednesday Story/Craft Time has been temporarily suspended. We will let you know when we will be able to start again.
The members of the Library Board and the library staff appreciate all the support you have given us this year and we look forward to seeing you in 2016! Happy New Year!
