Disaster relief offered

Benton County has opened a Disaster Information Center hotline for residents that have been affected by the flooding. If your home or small business has sustained damage call the hotline at 479-271-1094. The hotline is open until 4:30 p.m. today and will reopen 9 a.m. Dec. 29.

Benton County Emergency Management is conducting damage assessments to assist in gathering information to provide the state in regards to increasing the likelihood of possible funding and reimbursements for expenses.

The Benton County Road Department is currently canvassing the County to assess road and bridge damage and has designated that the following roads are closed in the unincorporated area of Benton County as of 1 p.m. Monday: Andy Jack, Benson Road, Big Springs Sycamore Heights, Bill Billings, Bill Young Road, Callis Road, Christina Circle, Country Club Drive, Dale Sheaver, Deer Road, Dixon Road, Fairmount, Frisco Church, Georgie Flats, Good Lot Road, Gooseberry Road, Greenhouse Road, Honey Creek, Hwy. 68 (south side), Logan Cave Road, Mill Dam, Mt. Olive, Patterson Road, Pearl Road, Plenty Wood Road, Pritchard Road, Punkin Hollow Road, Rader Road, Rocky Dell Hollow, Rolling David, Russel Yates, Schrader Road, Shinn Springs, Snavley, Spanker Creek, Springtown Road, State Line Road, Missouri, Sugar Creek Hwy. 94 to 72, Walkenback and Wildflower Lane.

Remember, if you come across a road covered with water Turn Around, Don't Drown.
