Monday, July 27

7:59 p.m. A resident of Oakley Street reported dogs fighting and "covered in blood" at a residence on Chitwood Street. Police checked and found no illegal activity involving the dogs.

8:13 p.m. A resident of Wade Lane reported suspicious circumstances involving threats.

Tuesday, July 28

9:23 a.m. Police checked a resident on Hayden Road for a follow-up investigation. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Keith Allen Hoskins, 54, Pea Ridge, for possession of firearms by certain persons. He was booked into the Benton County Jail. Two guns, ammunition and an ammunition clip were seized as evidence.

12:37 p.m. Police took a report of a private property accident involving a vehicle driven by Van D. Allen, 61, Rogers, and a parked car owned by Kristina Austin, 47, Pea Ridge. The accident reportedly occurred July 27.

2:40 p.m. Police received a report of theft of services involving an electric meter lock being broken and electricity from Carroll Electric Company being used illegally at 555 Sugar Creek Road.

2:50 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on O.D. Bancroft for an abandoned vehicle that was blocking his mailbox. The 1995 Eagle Talon had an Oklahoma license plate. Police authorized the vehicle towed and secured.

Wednesday, July 29

11:03 a.m. Police were dispatched to the parking lot on the southeast corner of Curtis and Lee Town Road for a "small fat female bulldog with no collar" wandering around the parking lot. Police found the responsible party (a lady who is "babysitting" the dog while the owner is out of town) on Frost Street and advised her of the city dog ordinance.

Thursday, July 30

11:54 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on North Davis Street for a possible verbal disturbance. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Thomas Edward Copp, 40, Pea Ridge, for parole absconder.

Friday, July 31

2:10 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police apprehended a 16-year-old male who was reported as a runaway from Rogers. The youth was released to his parents.

Saturday, Aug. 1

4:58 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Todd Circle for a disturbance.

Sunday, Aug. 2

1:15 p.m. As a result of investigating a report of a reckless driver, police found the vehicle in a parking lot on Slack Street. The driver, Donald M. Kusak, 60, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

5:29 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on McNair Street for a disturbance involving an 18-year-old male arguing with his father and "tearing up the house." The young man was taken to a friend's house for the evening.
