Back to School Bash serves children

Loresta Piper and her four children collected school supplies and enjoyed a pancake breakfast at the Back to School Bash. "It really helps out financial wise on being able to get them what they need," Piper said. More than 150 children were served Saturday.

Tariq "Turtle" Hackett, 8, said he is going into the third grade. He is the son of Ruth Hackett. Ashley Slocum donated her time cutting hair. A 2008 graduate of Pea Ridge High School, Slocum said she likes giving back to the community.
