The medical air-evac helicopter landed on the front lawn at Pea Ridge Intermediate School last week. Students were allowed to look inside and ask questions. "They loved it," Sarah Stokes, principal, said, adding that the event was arranged through Jeff Goolsby, husband of Leslie Goolsby, nurse at the Intermediate School.

Children stood in line for their turn to view the medical ambulance helicopter recently. The helicopter is part of the AirMedCare Network which flies to more than 220 locations in 27 states. If people are interested in obtaining this type of emergency coverage, their household can be covered for $65/year. Without coverage, if a person needs to be med-flighted, the bill would be approximately $25,000.
