Bernal receives scholarships
Emily Bernal of Pea Ridge has received a William A. Bradenburg family scholarship to Pittsburg State University for the 2014-2015 academic semester.
Bernal is the daughter of Oneyda Reyna and Rigoberto Bernal, and attended Arkansas Arts Academy. She is double majoring in art and psychology.
Roughton awarded
Dylan Roughton received a Distinguished Scholars award from Arkansas Tech University beginning with the fall 2015 semester. Roughton is the son of Mark and Mary Roughton. He is a graduate of Pea Ridge High School. Roughton is majoring in international business.
He was in the National Honor Society, qualified for AP language credit for college and qualified for state tournament in golf; he worked in the Bright Futures Back-to-School Bash, Little Hawks camp and parked cars for school events. He was a member of the Spanish Club and was on the golf, basketball and cross country teams.
