Intermediate select choir organizes

Pea Ridge music teacher April Smith announced the inception of an Intermediate School Select Choir.

Composed of students in grades 3 through 5, try-outs and auditions were held last week with nearly 100 students applying for a spot in the 40-voice choir.

"There were so many good voices it was so very hard to cut the number down to 40. I finally decided to include 15 more though it will be a challenge with so many," Smith said.

"This was something I have always wanted to do and I am looking forward to working with the students as we work on concerts for Veteran's Day as well as other occasions."
