Friday, Sept. 5

6:37 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wade Lane for a physical disturbance. The investigation determined there was no disturbance.

Saturday, Sept. 6

11:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on St. Clair Street for a theft report. The resident said someone took two patio chairs and a table from her residence.

1:54 p.m. A resident of St. Clair Street reported two chairs and a table missing from his residence.

3 p.m. A man turned in a black wallet and a cell phone that he found in a shopping cart at Walmart. The owner was located, examined the wallet and said nothing was missing. It was returned to her.

10:50 p.m. While on patrol, police observed two young males riding their bicycles in the street on North Curtis Avenue. Both boys were 13 years of age. Both boys were cited for curfew violation and returned to the custody of a parent.

Sunday, Sept. 7

8:57 a.m. A resident of North Davis Street reported finding a yellow lab and was unable to locate its owner. The dog was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

12:32 p.m. A resident of Zachary Street reported patio furniture had been taken off her front porch.

2:24 p.m. Police received a report of a man parking an older Jeep Cherokee at the dead end of a street on Poten Spur and then walking out of the neighborhood. The license plate was fictitious and was seized. The incident is still under investigation.

3:12 p.m. A resident of McNair Street reported a trespasser involving a relative on the property without permission. The man was issued a trespass warning.

10:15 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Timothy Brian Thomas, 26, Pineville, Mo., for driving on a suspended driver's license and on warrants from Elm Springs, Lowell and Rogers.

Monday, Sept. 8

11:15 a.m. A resident of Mitchell Lane reported their trash can had been stolen.

12:30 p.m. Someone turned in a cell phone that was found by the intersection of Patton and Asboth streets. It appeared to have been run over.

3 p.m. Police took a report of a one-vehicle accident on Greer Street involving a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Mary Johnson, 44, Garfield, who told police she lost control of the vehicle when she ran into loose gravel and hit a tree. Both she and her passenger were wearing seat belts.

10:13 p.m. Police assisted with an attempted suicide at a residence on Greenwood Cove. A 46-year-old female was transported to Northwest Medical Center.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

7:45 a.m. Police were dispatched to the school where a school official reported the word "bomb" had been written on a metal structural beam in the Middle School gym.

8:30 a.m. Police took a report on first-degree criminal mischief report from a resident of Garfield who claimed his vehicle may have been damaged while parked in the high school parking lot the previous day. He reported another incident occured on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

12 p.m. Police took a report from school officials of a 15-year-old male student who urinated on the playground in the presence of two teachers and about 150 fifth-grade students. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, Sept. 10

12:54 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Frost Street for a disturbance no longer in progress. As a result of the investigation, police arrested William Richard Pruitt, 36, Pea Ridge, for third-degree domestic battery. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

11:01 a.m. Police were dispatched to the parking lot at Marvin's IGA for a welfare concern. As a result of the investigation, police notified the Adult Abuse Hotline and found a relative to pick up the 84-year-old lady who was apparently confused and unaware of her surroundings. She was turned over to a relative.

5:30 p.m. Police responded to an alarm at the high school and found youth leaving the gym from practice.

8:45 p.m. Police were notified by a city resident that there was an open door at the Intermediate School gym. Police checked the building, found no one and secured the building.

9:16 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Pace Lane for a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, police determined that there was also a disturbance involving the same two people on Bloxham Road, outside the city limits, so notified Benton County Sheriff's Office. Jennifer Marie Schriner, 20, Pea Ridge, was arrested for first-degree criminal mischief, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and minor in possession. Kenneth Michael Lewis, 22, Pea Ridge, was arrested for disorderly conduct and third-degree assault on a family or household member. Both were booked into the Benton County Jail.

Thursday, Sept. 11

7:40 p.m. Police were told "a bunch of kids" were climbing on a bus parked at Blackhawk Automotive. Several juveniles ranging in age from 9 to 14 were found on the scene and two admitted to climbing on the bus and Coke machine. All were released to their parents and the incident was turned over to Benton County Sheriff's Office as the business is outside the city limits.

7:50 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Carr Street for a trespassing complaint concerning a silver Jeep traveling at a high rate of speed down the private drive from North Curtis Avenue to Carr Street. Police were unable to contact the suspect.

9:30 a.m. Police investigated an incident involving two 13-year-old boys fighting in the Middle School bathroom before school. Both boys were cited for disorderly conduct.

Friday, Sept. 12

8:40 a.m. Police were dispatched to a verbal disturbance at a business on South Curtis Avenue involving a situation between an employee and a manager. The incident was determined to be civil.

10 a.m. A resident of East Pickens Road reported that when he took two $100 bills to a bank, they were identified as counterfeit. He told police he had received the money from a man in Springdale when selling a Playstation 4 via Craigslist. He told police he attempted to use one of the bills at a gas station in Bentonville when buying gasoline. Other police agencies were notified as well.

4:50 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police charged a 17-year-old female resident of Pea Ridge for driving without a driver's license. There were also three other juveniles, an 11-year-old female and two 14-year-old males, in the car. They were released to their guardians.

Saturday, Sept. 13

1:15 p.m. A resident of Rains Street reported a phone call that was fraudulent from someone claiming to work for the IRS.

Sunday, Sept. 14

9 a.m. Police took a report of a "delayed accident" but determined someone had intentionally damaged the vehicle while it was parked at a business in Pea Ridge. The resident of Garfield reported that the damaged sometime between 7-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12. The damage was estimated to cost between $1,200-$1,800 for repair.

7 p.m. A property owner reported renters had moved out of a residence on Lindsey Street and left a dog locked in the garage. The dog was picked up and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

Monday, Sept. 15

4:10 p.m. Police took a report from a resident of Jenks Court of a theft involving money taken from his truck while it was parked at his residence. More than $250 and an Arkansas driver's license were taken from the unlocked vehicle.

6:19 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Greenwood Cove for a civil call involving a welfare check on a 46-year-old woman who was distraught and determined to possibly be a danger to herself. While interviewing the woman, police noticed she was drowsy and she admitted she had taken two bottles of pills. The ambulance was dispatched to the location. She was taken to Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville. Police contacted the on-call deputy prosecutor for an involuntary commitment.
