Wednesday, Aug. 27

7:40 a.m. A resident of South Harvey Wakefield reported items stolen from his business trailer overnight involving three Echo weed trimmers missing.

4:30 p.m. Police were dispatched to Dollar General for a shoplifting report. An employee told police she saw a white male carrying two bags of dog food out of the store without paying for them, but was with customers and could not stop him. She said a teen-aged male with the man took snack items. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Christopher A. Mann, 37, Pea Ridge, for shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor; and a 15-year-old male was cited for shoplifting.

Thursday, Aug. 28

8:20 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Turner Way for an animal neglect complaint. Police spoke to the complainant and the owner of a cat, which appeared to be ill. She was advised to seek medical treatment for the cat, which was being fed and watered.

8:45 a.m. A resident of Patton Street reported a stray dog had shown up at her residence about two weeks ago and she has been unsuccessful in locating its owners. Police took the dog to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

9:39 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Lynn Drive for a physical disturbance in progress involving adults and children. As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male was taken to Benton County Juvenile Detention Center; arrested Kristen Rogers, 33, Pea Ridge, for third degree domestic assault and violation of condition of release. An adult male was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a broken nose and possible fracture to the eye socket.

11:53 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Pickens Road for a suspicious circumstance involving someone removing the screen from one of the apartment windows and there were signs of someone attempting to gain entrance to the apartment through the window. The incident is under investigation.

Friday, Aug. 29

8:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to the parking lot at Marvins, North Curtis Avenue, for a private property accident, involving a delivery truck backing into a vehicle owned by Jennifer Dean, 36, Pea Ridge.

8:31 p.m. Police were dispatched to Dollar General for an animal complaint. An employee told police she found an animal carrier containing two small kittens left in the parking lot.

10:45 p.m. Police were dispatched to Pizza Hut for a noise complaint involving a truck parked in the parking lot and loud music playing from it.

Saturday, Aug. 30

1:25 p.m. Police were dispatched to the Neighborhood Market for a 911 hangup call. The call was apparently made by accident and all was determined to be OK.

11:35 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Jeffrey W. Mendenhall, 40, Pea Ridge, for DWI and driving on a suspended driver's license. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

Sunday, Aug. 31

12 a.m. Police noticed a white Dodge Ram at the intersection of Lee Town Road and North Davis Street partially blocking the north-bound lane of Davis. By 6 a.m. the vehicle had not been moved and police had it towed to avoid it causing an accident.

4:38 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Reed Street for an attempted suicide. Upon arrival at the residence, police found a 21-year-old male with a laceration to his neck. He said it was an accident. He was transported to Northwest Medical Center by ambulance.

9:43 a.m. Police were dispatched to White Oak Station concerning a female asleep in a car in the parking lot who was unresponsive. Medics from the Pea Ridge Ambulance were called. It was determined she was having a medical issue, she was treated and taken home by relatives.

1:35 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Zachary Street for a theft/disturbance in progress and received information while they were en route that the situation had become a physical disturbance. It was determined that the issue was a civil matter and no physical disturbance had occurred.

8:36 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on St. Clair Street for an attempted theft. A 13-year-old reported his scooter was stolen from outside the high school track, and later returned.

Monday, Sept. 1

8:55 a.m. A resident of Gen. Franz Sigel Drive reported several lawn tools were taken from his business trailer which was parked in front of his house. He reported two Redmax weed trimmers, a Redmax edger were missing, padlocks and two Stihl leaf blowers were missing.

6:28 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle for a burglary report. The resident reported that sometime between noon and 6:10 p.m. Monday someone had entered her residence, taken property and damaged the residence. There was no sign of forced entry. About 10 fishing poles were taken.

Tuesday, Sept. 2

4:30 p.m. Police were dispatched to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic where it was reported two dogs were picked up by Pea Ridge Police and impounded; one was not yet picked up or paid for. As a result of the investigation, Mary Lorene Davis, 34, Pea Ridge, was charged with two counts of dog at large, two counts of no city tags and theft of services.

10:31 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on South Curtis Avenue for a prowler call. The resident said a man was standing on her porch. Police did not locate the suspect.

Wednesday, Sept. 3

12:05 p.m. While on patrol, police saw two dogs in the middle of Ark. Hwy. 94 near Standing Oaks. The dogs ran south on St. Clair Street and were caught by a lady who put them in a back yard. Christopher Kester, owner of the dogs, was later contacted and cited for two counts of dog at large.

3:30 p.m. A resident of W.M.B. Franklin Drive reported someone was stealing water from her house.

3:36 p.m. Police responded to the 900 block of Asboth Street for a report of a motor-vehicle accident involving vehicles driven by Ginger Cox, 30, Pea Ridge, and Loresta L. Piper, 27, Pea Ridge. Both vehicles were northbound when the front vehicle driven by Piper stopped suddenly and the vehicle driven by Cox rear-ended the front vehicle.

Thursday, Sept. 4

12 p.m. Police were notified of a 1983 Camero in the ditch off Arkansas Highway 94 on the west side just north of Sugar Creek. There was no one around the vehicle; the owner was notified; the vehicle was towed and impounded.

1:50 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wood Street for a criminal mischief report. The resident said someone had hit her mailbox.

4:27 p.m. When questioning a man walking through town with a rolling case, police learned he was selling door-to-door without a permit. He was informed of the city's regulations governing door-to-door sales.

Friday, Sept. 5

6:37 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wade Lane for a physical disturbance. The investigation determined there was no disturbance.

Saturday, Sept. 6

11:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on St. Clair Street for a theft report. The resident said someone took two patio chairs and a table from her residence.

1:54 p.m. A resident of St. Clair Street reported two chairs and a table missing from his residence.

3 p.m. A man turned in a black wallet and a cell phone that he found in a shopping cart at Walmart. The owner was located, examined the wallet and said nothing was missing. It was returned to her.

10:50 p.m. While on patrol, police observed two young males riding their bicycles in the street on North Curtis Avenue. Both boys were 13 years of age. Both boys were cited for curfew violation and returned to the custody of a parent.

Sunday, Sept. 7

8:57 a.m. A resident of North Davis Street reported finding a yellow lab and was unable to locate its owner. The dog was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

12:32 p.m. A resident of Zachary Street reported patio furniture had been taken off her front porch.

2:24 p.m. Police received a report of a man parking an older Jeep Cherokee at the dead end of a street on Poten Spur and then walking out of the neighborhood. The license plate was fictitious and was seized. The incident is still under investigation.

3:12 p.m. A resident of McNair Street reported a trespasser involving a relative on the property without permission. The man was issued a trespass warning.

10:15 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Timothy Brian Thomas, 26, Pineville, Mo., for driving on a suspended driver's license and on warrants from Elm Springs, Lowell and Rogers.

Monday, Sept. 8

11:15 a.m. A resident of Mitchell Lane reported their trash can had been stolen.

12:30 p.m. Someone turned in a cell phone that was found by the intersection of Patton and Asboth streets. It appeared to have been run over.
