The TIMES of Northeast Benton County

A Pea Ridge man, who qualified on Aug. 29 to run for mayor, withdrew his name from the race Tuesday maintaining that the majority of the citizens don't want help with their government. Croswell was fired by the City Council Sept. 1.

The TIMES of Northeast Benton County

The Pea Ridge City Council did it right. They read the ordinance for three months, giving local business owners plenty of time to speak up about business licenses. After its third reading, council members voted the ordinance into effect at the August meeting. The application fee is $50 if issued before June 30. After June 30, the fee is $25.

About 40 residents from the Garfield area filed into the Arvest building in Garfield Thursday night to address their concerns to Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials regarding the U.S. Highway 62 expansion. Many of those in attendance reside in the Ashmore Creek area, which would be directly impacted by two of the three alternative routes currently proposed through the town of Garfield.
