African American Cemetery Documentary
A screening of Oak Cemetery: A Forgotten Place a documentary on Fayetteville's historic African-American cemetery by filmmakers John Cooper and Tiffany King, will be shown at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. Cooper and King will discuss the making of the documentary before the screening.
The event is hosted by the Washington County Cemetery Preservation Group.
Native Plant Lore
Justin Nolan, professor of anthropology at the University of Arkansas, will discuss local native plants used historically for making food and medicine in a program entitled, "Pennyroyals, Persimmons, and Pawpaws," at noon Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
Arkansas Nature Photography
Nature photographer Tim Ernst will present a slide program entitled, "Arkansas Nightscapes: Wilderness Photos from Twilight till Dawn," at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 , at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
