Monday, Oct. 20

12:40 p.m. Police took a report of a parking lot accident that happened at Sonic. The manager of the restaurant showed police a damaged menu/order box that had been damaged by a vehicle. The driver, Kristina Curry, 28, Pineville, Mo., had since left.

Tuesday, Oct. 21

6:44 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle for a verbal disturbance involving a 16-year-old girl who was refusing to go to school and was "out of control." After advising the parents about options, police offered a FINS (Family in need of service) petition. The youth was taken to school by a parent after the visit.

12:17 p.m. A resident of Drew Lane reported a continuing problem with a reckless driver on Drew Lane.

8:05 p.m. A resident of Green Street reported a 14-year-old male missing. He said the boy was supposed to be home before dark. The boy was found, returned home and apologized for causing any worry.

Wednesday, Oct. 22

9:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to the school for an altercation involving a 16-year-old male who had thrown a chair at a school official, missing him but hitting and breaking a lamp. The boy was cited for second degree assault and second degree criminal mischief. The youth was released to the custody of his parents.

5:42 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hickman Drive for a harassing communications report involving someone calling and texting a female threatening her.

Thursday, Oct. 23

7:34 a.m. Police were dispatched to the area on Pike Street behind the School Heritage Building where a vehicle had struck and damaged a gas meter. The driver of the truck, William E. Crawford, 45, Pea Ridge. Fire Department personnel secured the scene until a representative from the gas company could arrive to shut off the meter. The damage to the meter was estimated to be between $150-$200 by a representative from SourceGas.

12:30 p.m. Police were dispatched to the school for a report of a student with a flashlight that "had a built in stun device" in his possession. Police contacted the student and confiscated the flashlight. The student's parent was called and the student was issued a juvenile court appearance bond and charged with possession of taser stun gun.

5:30 p.m. An employee of O'Reilly's Auto Parts reported a juvenile suspect had stolen merchandise. After the youth's father arrived on the scene, the youth gave the information requested and was given a juvenile appearance bond for theft. Items were valued at more than $600.

Friday, Oct. 24

2:37 p.m. Police took a report of a property damage accident at Walmart Neighborhood Market involving a vehicle driven by Jamie M. Martin, 32, who reportedly hit a protective pole near the gas station building.

3 p.m. Police took a report of sexual harassment from a 16-year-old male who reported that a 15-year-old female was reporting that he tried to rape her. School officials assisted in questioning students. A report was made to the Child Abuse Hotline. An investigation was conducted by the Children's Advocacy Center.

7:20 p.m. While on patrol, police noticed a damaged light pole at the intersection of West Road and North Harvey Wakefield which had apparently been hit by a vehicle. Police notified CENCOM to notify Carroll Electric about the damage.

Saturday, Oct. 25

7 a.m. A resident of McNair Street reported a theft involving furniture taken from the porch of the residence. Other residents in the area were questioned; no one else had anything missing.

10:23 a.m. A resident of Farrell Street reported a theft involving a large wooden storage box that had been outside on her front porch. Police also checked with other residents of the area, one of whom reported a theft involving a wallet taken from her car previously.

9:45 p.m. Police were requested to assist State Police at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 72 and It'll Do Road to speak to a subject who had reportedly had a rock thrown at his vehicle. The reporting party said he heard the loud bang, saw two youths running away and discovered a noticeable large dent on the side of his vehicle. Police said they were notified of a similar incident that happened at 3:55 a.m. resulting in a cracked windshield. Police said Benton County Sheriff's deputies would conduct extra patrols in the area.

8:41 p.m. Police were dispatched to the school for a possibly intoxicated juvenile attempting to attend the homecoming dance. A 16-year-old male was charged with minor in possession and released to his parent.

Sunday, Oct. 26

10 a.m. A resident of Henry Little Circle reported a reckless driver; police interviewed the complainant, the reported suspect and a parent.

2 p.m. Police were on duty as security for Pee Wee football when an officer saw a parking lot accident occur. The suspect vehicle left at a "high rate of speed" and police pursued, making a traffic stop downtown. Police spoke with the juvenile female driver who reported she "thought she hit something" but did not stop. The victim told police he did not want to pursue damaged.

Monday, Oct. 27

12:15 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Weston Loop for a disturbance involving a family matter.

5:40 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on South Curtis Avenue for a "hold-up alarm."
