GLADE -- A public-charity benefit auction for The Glade Community Historical Society (GCHS) will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Coal Gap School, 20645 Slate Gap Rd., Garfield.

Items can be donated by calling Dorothy or Stanley Williams at 479.359.3300 or Ruth or Bob Billingsley at 479.330.0446. The auction will be conducted by Lendel B. Snoderly with all proceeds going to the benefit of GCHS. Items to be auctioned are as varied as a Thorncrown Chapel Bible, 1928 auditorium seats, a 15-hands high gelding, tools and various antiques.
