Pea Ridge online gallery ranked No. 3

The elementary schools online art gallery has attained the No. 3 national ranking in the current tabulations released by the host website Artsonia, Inc.

Based on artwork uploaded, parents registered, fans collected, visitor comments gathered, and artists statements about their work, has the Little Hawk gallery in their highest ranking since becoming a participant in the program nearly six years ago. There are 6,000 schools that participate in the Artsonia national program which began in the year 2000.

While once reaching a No. 5 ranking, Pea Ridge has never finished the school year higher than No. 11 which was achieved last school year. For the past five years, Pea Ridge has been the top rated Arkansas school after final tabulations.

There is a very real chance that Pea Ridge could attain the No. 1 national ranking if more points could be racked up in two areas:

1) Fans -- the number of fans that each student has contributes points to the school's ranking. There is no cost to be a fan, and fans of the individual students get emailed copies of each art work that the students do. To be a student's fan, just get on the website, locate the student's name, and portfolio, then click on the link for fans. Encourage your friends and especially your family members to join.

2) Comments -- Every time someone comments or pays a compliment to a student about a work of art they have done, the website gets points for that. If every registered parent or fan made a couple of comments or more every so often, we could quickly rise even higher in the rankings.

For the past five years, we have posted more art than any other school in the United States. We are top 10 nationally in the other three components of the ranking system and so there is room to grow.

Please participate and help Pea Ridge schools reach the top of the rankings for the current school term.
