Pea Ridge Homecoming 2014 is Friday

Pea Ridge High School Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 24. Seven young ladies were selected from the senior class for the Homecoming Court. One will be crowned Homecoming Queen Friday night.

Abbye Coan, 17, is the daughter of Lynne and Chris Coan. A native of Pea Ridge, Miss Coan is also serving as Miss Pea Ridge this year. Her favorite memory in Pea Ridge was winning state competition last December with the cheer squad. She is active in Pea Ridge varsity cheer, is president of the National Honor Society, president of Student Council and senior class president. Her favorite book is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, her favorite movie is "Steel Magnolias" ans her favorite son is "Tenerife Sea" by Ed Sheeran. She will be escorted by Mr. Tristan Trundle.

8-11 p.m. Homecoming Dance; semi-formal, in the Cafeteria; admission is $10

Joy Davis, 17, is the daughter of Michael and Malinda Davis and granddaughter of Joe and Violet Davis. A native of Rogers, Miss Davis has been in Pea Ridge for four years. Her favorite memory in Pea Ridge was "making PRHS cheer." She is involved in PRHS cheer, Spanish Club and National Honor Society. Her favorite book is "the Elite" by Kiera Cass, her favorite movie is "Pride and Prejudice" and her favorite son is "Reflections" by Mister Wives. She will be escorted by Mr. Garrett Easterling.

Summer Caroline Littrell, 17, is the daughter of Shannon and Lori Littrell and granddaughter of Jimmy and Margaret Cheek and Marvin and Linda Littrell. A native of Pea Ridge, Miss Littrell's favorite memory is winning state with the cheer squad. She is involved in varsity cheer, Spanish Club, Student Council, FCCLA and is secretary of NHS. Her favorite book is "Why We Broke Up" by Daniel Handler, her favorite movie is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," her favorite song is "Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls. She will be escorted by Mr. Dakota Russell.

Emma Pitts, 17, is the daughter of Ben and Terri Pitts and granddaughter of Diana and Lynn Mosier. A senior, Miss Pitts is a native of Rogers and has been in Pea Ridge for nine years. Her favorite memory in Pea Ridge are the junior high Silver Dollar City trips. She is involved in volleyball, track, cross country, the Spanish Club and National Honor Society. Her favorite book is "The Hunger Games," her favorite movie is "Charlie St. Cloud" and she likes all music. She will be escorted by Mr. Austin Hicks.

Makayla Ricketts, 17, is the daughter of Darrin and Teresa Ricketts and granddaughter of Darlene Ricketts and Pat and Tony Howard. A native of Pea Ridge, Miss Ricketts has been in Pea Ridge schools since the second grade. Her favorite memory in Pea Ridge was seventh grade when she first became a manager for the football team. In addition to being a manager for the varsity football team, she is in FCCLA. Her favorite book is "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald, her favorite movie is "Gossip Girl" series and her favorite song is "Secrets" by Mary Lambert. She will be escorted by Mr. Justiss Jenkins.

Casey Tidwell, 17, is the daughter of Brian and Jennifer Tidwell and granddaughter of Steve and Judy Patton. She is a native of Pea Ridge. Miss Tidwell's favorite memory in Pea Ridge is winning state with her cheer squad. She is involved in Blackhawk varsity cheer, FCCLA and NHS. Her favorite book is "The Best of Me" by Nicholas Sparks, her favorite movie is "Man on Five" or "Because I said So" and her favorite music is "Get me Some of That" by Thomas Rhett. Her escort is Mr. Jonathan Small.

Taylor Winn, 17, is the daughter of Richie and Renee Winn and granddaughter of Brenda and Dickie Winn and Becky Teague. A native of Pea Ridge, Miss Winn's favorite memory is performing her first ever halftime on the old football during her sophomore year. She is involved in varsity cheer, varsity softball, Student Council, and is the secretary for the Spanish Club and vice president for the senior class. Her favorite book is "If I Stay," her favorite movie is the "Gossip Girl" series and her favorite song is "Burning it down" by Jason Aldean. She will be escorted by Mr. Dakota Winn.
