Applauds school staff

I wanted to let you know that the faculty and staff of the Pea Ridge Intermediate School did a wonderful job this afternoon in a very difficult situation. Based on the weather situation, the school district was placed in a very difficult position and they choose what they believed to be the best course of action for the students' safety. Although there are many that may be upset with the lockdown policy, there is absolutely no denying that Rick Neal and his faculty and staff -- particularly Mrs. Stokes and the faculty and staff at the Pea Ridge Intermediate School -- handled the situation with extreme grace and professionalism. I am very proud to be parent with a child in the Pea Ridge School District.

School staff appreciated

I would like to recognize and appreciate the Pea Ridge School District administration and staff for their decision to keep our kids safe, on Thursday, rather than maintain a schedule. While it was frightening for kids and parents/ guardians, and the staff had an enormous job to supervise all of the kids, they did an amazing job! If I couldn't be there for my kids, I'm so glad the Pea Ridge School staff were there. No one else better! A special thank you to Mrs. Rhine who tried to comfort Katherine. We are all so grateful for your compassion! Another thank you to Mr. Johnson and staff dealing with teens who think they're invulnerable. Big job but you managed to keep them safe. A concern I had was the kids being released just as another severe storm warning was issued and was unable to reach the administration to request a delay. I suppose maybe other parents/ guardians were calling, too. Overall, great job, Pea Ridge Schools! Thank you!
