Glade Community Historical Society

The restoration project of the Glade Post Office/Store is really looking great. If you are in the area of 20659 Slate Gap Rd., Garfield, stop by and take a look. On the downside, outher recent soup supper and auction fund raisers have barely kept us ahead of the financial needs of the project.

In that regard, this letter is a reminder that it is time to pay your 2015 dues -- either renewing your membership, joining The Glade Community Historical Society for the first time, or simply providing additional support for our restoration project. The dues are still only $25 per year. Checks should be made payable to G.C.H.S. Inc. and mailed to 20916 Slate Gap Rd., Garfield, Ar. 72732. Remember we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and your dues and or donations are tax deductible.

We also have 26 Foundation Rocks still awaiting adoption at $50 each. There will be a plaque in the post office/store recognizing the adopters of these original foundation stones recovered from Beaver Lake. If you missed out on having a pet rock years ago, these stones will really make your friends jealous!

Thanks for your continuing support of The Glade Community Historical Society, Inc.
