Monday, Nov. 10

2:11 a.m. Dispatched to the Pea Ridge High School for a suicidal subject. Assisted the PRFD with the PT who was transported by PRFD to a local hospital, no charges were filed.

7:37 a.m. Dispatched to the intersection of Slack and Weston Streets for a motor vehicle accident. According to statements obtained by PRPD, vehicle No. 2, driven by Jessica Woods, 26 of Bella Vista, was stopped in the eastbound lane of Slack Street behind other vehicles. The driver (juvenile female of Bella Vista) and passenger (juvenile male of Pea Ridge) of vehicle No. 1 said the driver of vehicle No. 1 did not see the vehicle's stopped in the roadway in time and, upon noticing the stopped vehicles, applied brakes and began a skid until contacting vehicle No. 2. No citations was issued and no vehicles were towed.

3:42 p.m. Dispatched to Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market 240 Slack Street for a private property accident. Complainant Ronald Filippone, 26 of Rogers, stated sometime between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. today, his car was damaged. Upon review of store surveillance, it was determined a loose shopping cart rolled into the car at approximately 10:30 a.m.

5:30 p.m Dispatched to Charles Street for an animal complaint stating there was a black pit bull running loose in the area. While speaking with the complainant, the dog came up to the Officer. The dog was transported to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The dog had no collar or tags to identify its owner.

6 p.m. Warrant confirmation on Loyd Cook, 44 of Gravette, who was already at the BCSO.

Tuesday, Nov. 11

7:20 a.m. Dispatched to the Pea Ridge Intermediate School for a dog at large complaint. Upon arrival a large German Shepherd dog was found at the front door of the building. The dog was transported to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. The dog had no collar or tags to identify its owner. At approximately 12:30 p.m., the owner, Terry Edwards 41 of Pea Ridge, claimed the dog. Edwards was issued a citation for dog at large.

Wednesday, Nov. 12

9:12 a.m. Received a complaint from a Pea Ridge resident who stated they was contacted by someone on their landline telephone claiming to be an IRS agent. The resident said at approximately 8:15 a.m. this date they received a phone call from a strange telephone number. A message was left for them on their answering machine. The number used was 719-201-7296 and they was instructed to contact "Jerome Volk" who was supposedly an IRS agent. They were told an arrest warrant would be issued for them if they did not contact the caller at another number (202-464-2549). They called the other number and spoke with a man with a foreign accent. They were told they owed $2,300 and the IRS had attempted several times to contact them. They were threatened with arrest and criminal court trials. The complainant was provided information from the Internal Revenue Service and Federal Trade Commission regarding this topic. They were also provided a phone number for the IRS treasuring inspector general (800-366-4484).

Upon investigation, the 719 number was a T-mobile cellular phone out of Colorado Springs, CO. The 202 number was a number issued from Bandwidth.com out of Washington D.C. I checked the comments section and found several complaints of this number being used for attempted fraud and scams.

11:30 a.m. Received a complaint from a Pea Ridge resident who stated they received a phone call from a strange number (202-464-2549) and a message on their answering machine. They said the message was from a female and sounded like a recording which stated the "IRS" was "filing a suit" against them and they needed to call. The complainant said they had read the recent article the police department had in the local newspaper, and they suspected a fraud attempt. They were given a number for the IRS treasury inspector general (800-366-4484) and links to the IRS and Federal Trade Commission regarding this issue were emailed.

3:57 p.m. Received a call about a lost wallet at the Pea Ridge Neighborhood Market during the week of 11/2/14-11/7/14. Upon checking with the store, no wallet has been turned in nor were there any matching found wallets logged into evidence.

6:45 p.m. Stacy Stephens of Pea Ridge stated he was traveling northbound on South Curtis Ave when a deer ran into the passenger side of his truck just south of Harris St.

Thursday, Nov. 13

12:45 p.m. Request of an extra patrol from a Pea Ridge resident.

3:30 p.m. Report of a disturbance at the Pea Ridge Neighborhood Market. A customer was upset and believed that she did not receive her prescription earlier today. Upon review of the video surveillance by the store manager and the officer, it was determined the customer did receive the prescription earlier.

7:30 p.m. Dispatched to Cardin Road off of South Curtis Avenue for a motor vehicle accident with a deer. Geoffrey Goolsby stated after he turned onto Cardin Road from South Curtis Avenue he a deer slammed into the driver side of his truck.

Friday, Nov. 14

8 a.m. While patrolling McCulloch Street, an officer observed a young girl walking to school. The officer also observed a small grey colored dog chasing the child and nipping at the child's pant leg as she tried to get away from the dog. The dog continued to chase the child down the until it stopped and ran back to the yard of the residence located on McCulloch Street The officer determined the dog belonged to Ayla Phillips of Pea Ridge. Phillips was cited for Dog at Large.

8:15 a.m. Dispatched to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic for an unknown call for service. Upon arrival found that a Pineville, Mo., resident was there with a German Shepherd that she had found on Pickens Road near Charles Street. The dog was impounded with the vet's office in hopes of finding the owner. No identifying tags were found on the dog.

2:20 p.m. Dispatched to the Visions Hair Salon at 150 W. Pickens Rd. for an animal complaint. The complaint was of a cat which was foaming at the mouth was trying to get into the business. Upon arrival, the officer found that the cat was not aggressive and did not display symptoms of rabies or distemper, so contact was made with a local vet's office and the animal was removed from the business.

9:54 p.m. An officer was contacted about a possible male with a gun chasing his wife down Mariano Road and Hazelton Road. Thru investigation it was determined there was no gun involved and no crime had been committed. The report was turned over to the Benton County Sherriff's Office since the incident occurred in their jurisdiction.

11:39 p.m. Dispatched to the EZ Mart at 137 South Curtis for a suspicious circumstance. The EZ Mart clerk stated that a white male had come into the store possibly drunk and used abusive language towards her. She stated the male has been told before he is not allowed in the store. The male was later located by an officer and issued a no trespass warning to him, no charges were filed.

Saturday, Nov. 15

11:16 a.m. Dispatched to Poten Spur for a gas leak involving a vehicle. SourceGas was contacted after the Pea Ridge Fire Department plugged the leaking meter.

1:44 p.m. Dispatched to contact a Pea Ridge resident regarding a harassing communication complaint which is still under investigation.
