Students filled the bleachers. The choirs and band were assembled. Veterans filled the chairs on the floor of the gym. Some veterans were in their uniforms. Some walked with a cane. Some were in wheelchairs.
The Boy Scouts of America Troop 93 posted the colors.
Justiss Jenkins, senior at Pea Ridge High School, led the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer. The high school band played the "Star Spangled Banner" as veterans saluted.
The presentation was the culmination of the hard work by the PRHS Student Council, under the direction of Mrs. Misty Harris. It is an annual event.
Additional events were held later in the day at the other campuses.
