Monday, Oct. 27

5:40 p.m. Police were dispatched to a "hold-up" alarm at a residence on South Curtis Avenue. Upon arrival at the residence, police spoke with the property owner and learned it was set off accidentally.

5:57 p.m. A resident of Hazelton Road reported the theft of an electric dog collar. The next morning, the man reported the dog collar was back on the dog. He told police that although he was grateful the collar was returned undamaged, he was concerned about trespassing on his property.

11:42 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Pickens Road for a noise complaint. Police spoke to the resident who agreed to turn down his music or use headphones. At 12:12 a.m., police were again dispatched to the same residence for people fighting. As a result of the investigation, police cited Thomas McClain, 25, Pea Ridge, for disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, Oct. 29

10 a.m. A resident of West Patton Street reported she had recently found her vehicle entered by an unknown person. Police spoke with neighbors, one of whom reported she had gasoline stolen out of a mower about a week before but she did not report it to police.

11:43 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Weston Street for an anonymous animal cruelty concern. Police determined the dog in question was in a large cage and had food and water.

Thursday, Oct. 30

2:15 p.m. A resident of Hayden Road reported a theft of yard ornaments.

Friday, Oct. 31

6:16 p.m. As a result of responding to a report of a reckless driver, police arrested Ricky Lee Vaughn, 55, Pea Ridge, for DWI, drugs. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

6:59 p.m. Police were dispatched to a reckless driver on South Curtis Avenue. According to the report, at 7:14 p.m., Police were notified the truck and fifth-wheel camper were back and had crashed at Arvest Bank. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Allen K. Hoskens, 53, Pea Ridge, for DWI, drugs; careless driving; driving on a suspended driver's license; and refusal to submit to breath test.

7 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on North Davis Street for a suspicious circumstance involving a level 3 sex offender driving around with children out and about. He was warned to go into his house and not come out again nor turn on his porch light.

9:22 p.m. Police took a report of a one-vehicle accident on South Curtis Avenue at Cardin Road involving Chelsie Annette Carter, 23, Pea Ridge, whose vehicle ran off the road and hit a pole. The driver told police she swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle that was in her lane. She was transported by Pea Ridge Ambulance to Mercy.

Saturday, Nov. 1

10:05 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Todd Circle for a puppy on the property. The dog was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

2:25 p.m. Police were notified of an incident in which the driver of a vehicle had hit a dog and injured it. Neighbors told the driver who the owner of the dog was, but that he was not at home. The incident is under investigation.

4:21 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on South Harvey Wakefield Drive for a complaint about a barking dog. Attemps to locate the owners of the dog were unsuccessful.

Sunday, Nov. 2

4 p.m. A resident of Halleck Lane reported her 5-year-old son had been bitten by her dog, that she intended to "put down." The child was treated at the hospital and had three staples used to close the laceration.

Monday, Nov. 3

1 p.m. Police arrested Christopher Allan Mann, 37, Pea Ridge, at his residence for theft and on a warrants theft by receiving.
