Mr. and Mrs. John M. Smith Jr. are celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Miss Penny S. Smith and John M. Smith Jr. were married June 6, 1964, at Crossroads Methodist Church in Phoenix, Ariz., by the Rev. William O. Smith.
John Smith was raised in Pea Ridge and has lived here with his wife for more than 15 years after retiring.
They have three children: Kelli and Chris Howe of Golden, Colo., Kathryn and Tim Swingle of Peoria, Ariz., and Kristin Smith of Peoria, Ariz. Their grandchildren include Connor Howe and Tyler Howe, both of Golden, Colo. and Megan Swingle and Ashlyn Swingle of Peoria, Ariz.
The couple plans on celebrating with family in Golden, Colo.
