The new Neighborhood Market under construction in Pea Ridge is slated to open July 16, according to store manager Scott McMillan.
McMillan and the assistant managers are working in the hiring office on Lee Town Road accepting applications and conducting interviews.
Assistant managers are Tony Bauhaus, Jennifer Cole, Audra Miller and Brent Taylor.
Bauhaus has lived in Pea Ridge for eight years and worked for Wal-Mart for 15 years. A native of Skiatook, Okla., Bauhaus and his wife, Carol, have two children -- a son, 23, and a daughter, 10. He enjoys gardening, hunting and fishing.
"Pea Ridge is a great little town with great schools and great people," Bauhaus said.
Jennifer Cole has lived in Pea Ridge for seven years and has worked for Wal-Mart 19 years. A native of the north, but raised in the south, Cole and her husband, Chris, have three children -- Nathan, Nikolas and Nikole. She said she loves animals and spends lots of time with her children and their friends, her "weekend kids," as she calls them.
"I am a huge supporter of our military and veterans," Cole said. "I really love the small hometown feelings. Everybody is always willing to help their fellow neighbors in and throughout the community."
Audra Miller hasn't lived in Pea Ridge and has worked for Wal-Mart for eight years. A native of Bella Vista, Miller and her husband, Jake, have two children -- two sons, ages 12 and 16.
Audra Miller loves the small town and friendliness of Pea Ridge. She enjoys walking, reading and movies.
Brent Taylor lived in Pea Ridge for 13 years (from 1979 to 1992) and lives in Bella Vista now. He has worked for Wal-Mart for 21 years. A native of Texas, Taylor and his wife, Alison, have four children -- Lindsay, 18; Hailey, 12; Taylor, 21; and Cole, 17. He enjoys camping, golf, cooking and the outdoors.
Applications are still being accepted online and at the hiring office at 225 Lee Town Road for the store, number 6971. The phone number is 451-2030.
