New Meadowbrook EH Club

The New Meadowbrook Extension Homemakers Club met at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the First Baptist Church in Garfield for the regular monthly meeting. Karen Launderville, president, brought the meeting to order and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, followed by devotions given by Terri Jarding. Jarding read a Tribute to all Mothers for Mother's Day of how they have influenced women in their lifetime with Work, Faith and Love of Life.

Launderville gave a report on the County Spring Council Meeting held on May 2 and of the memorial given in honor of Jean Landauer, club member.

Launderville gave a lesson on raising vegetables and flowers in a large container, how to care for all with fertilization, spraying for insects and treating fungus.

Roxie Geddie read an amusing article of a "Conversation between God and St. Francis, on Gardening!"

The meeting closed with all reciting the Extension Homemaker Creed.
