Railway Society

The Boston Mountain Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15.

Photo Identification Group

The Shiloh Museum's Photo Identification Group will meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, to continue identifying people, places and events in Northwest Arkansas photos taken over the last 40 years.

Storytellers

The Tellers of Tales storytelling group will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17.

Civil War Roundtable

The Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 22.

Registration for Summer Kids Camps

Registration is underway for the Shiloh Museum's summer history camps for kids. Two sessions are offered:

• "1800s Arkansas" is 9--11:30 a.m. Monday, June 16-- Friday, June 20, for ages 7 to 10 years. Campers will travel back to a different time period each day, learning about Native Americans, pioneers, the Civil War, and the coming of the railroad. Cost for the camp is $35 for Shiloh Museum members and $45 for non-members, and includes snacks, crafts, and a ticket to ride the Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railroad.

• "1900s Arkansas" is 10 a.m.--3 p.m. Monday, July 7--Friday, July 11, for ages 11 to 14 years. Campers will experience a different decade each day, from the 1910s to the 1950s, exploring topics such as wildlife conservation, the Olympics, fishing, old-time radio shows, gardening, baseball, TV shows, and popular dances. Cost for the camp is $70 for Shiloh Museum members and $80 for non-members, and includes lunch, crafts, and a ticket to the Wednesday, July 16, NWA Naturals baseball game.

Space is limited for both camps; preregistration and payment is required. The registration deadline is May 31.
