Monday, May 5

1:45 p.m. An employee of ArkUps reported while marking utility lines at a residence on Washburn Drive he was told by the owner that the dogs inside the fence were "friendly" and would not bite. While marking utility lines, the man was bitten on the calf by one of the dogs. The dogs' owner admitted they were not up to date on their immunizations. The victim went to Mercy Medical Center where he was treated. Steven Kestner, 36, Pea Ridge, was cited for violation of the city dog ordinance and dog bite.

Tuesday, May 6

7 p.m. A resident of Patterson Road reported she was in fear for safety of herself and her 3-year-old son because her neighbor's dogs act viciously towards her and the child. Police contacted the neighbor who said they owned one small dog and the other large dogs, including a Great Pyrenees, come over whenever their dog is in heat. In attempting to contact the possible owner, police located another Great Pyrenees. Three dogs were confiscated and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

10:42 p.m. An anonymous caller reported children were being very loud and noisy and playing in the street at Price and Hays streets. Police were unable to locate anyone at the scene.

Thursday, May 8

12:27 p.m. An employee at a daycare on Halleck Lane reported finding a 2-year-old child wandering in the street for at least five minutes. A staff member of the daycare caught the child to keep it safe. The mother of the child was cited for endangering the welfare of a minor.

1:41 p.m. Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Slack Street (Ark. Hwy. 72) east of Ryan Road and west of Weston Street for a vehicle driven by Klay K. Garner, 18, Pea Ridge, who reported that he lost control of his vehicle on slick roads during a heavy rain and ran into a ditch and through a fence. He reported he was not injured.

Friday, May 9

9:59 a.m. Police received a report of construction supplies taken from a residence under construction on Harper Drive.

3:15 p.m. Police were notified of a 13-year-old male in possession of an e-cigarette at school. After an interview including the child's guardians, the item was seized.

3:24 p.m. Police received a report of violation of a protection order; the incident is under investigation.

6 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Jones Lane for a report of harassment. The information is being forwarded to the county prosecutor's office.

7:15 p.m. A resident turned a stray dog into police after saying he found it at his residence on Zachary Street, attempted to locate its owner then called the police. The dog, a black and white female lab mix, was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

Saturday, May 10

11:10 p.m. A resident of Humphrey Street reported someone had rung the doorbell and run off. Police did not locate a suspect.

Sunday, May 11

12:10 a.m. While on patrol, police observed two juveniles walking on Patton Street. The two, a 17-year-old female, and a 16-year-old male, were transported to the male's residence. Both were given warnings for violating the city's curfew ordinance.

9:30 p.m. Police picked up a small brown dog found by a resident on Weston Street and took it to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
