Monday, April 28

9:14 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hickman Road for harassing communications for a man threatening a couple via Facebook messaging. The suspect was warned to leave the couple alone.

10:06 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Conrad Street for a suspicious circumstance involving a man walking through her back yard.

11:58 a.m. A disturbance was reported at the drive-through on McDonald's restaurant, North Curtis Ave., involving two women yelling and screaming at one another and blowing their horns at each other. Both women were spoken to and neither wanted to press charges.

2:45 p.m. A resident of Frost Street reported a burglary stating that someone had been in his house; he said nothing was missing.

Tuesday, April 29

11:09 a.m. Police received a report from a resident of Wade Lane who said a prescription bottle of medicine was stolen from his locked mailbox.

11:50 a.m. Police were dispatched to an agency assist call for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to contact a resident of Pea Ridge for illegal camping and leaving items behind. Police were unable to contact the man.

3:27 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported on Weston Street involving a vehicle driven by Jessica Manuel, 16, Pea Ridge, and a school bus driven by Michael L. Cain, 60, Bentonville. It was reported that several vehicles were stopped in the southbound lane waiting to turn into the Middle School driveway; Manuel was southbound stopped to enter the Middle School parking lot; and a third vehicle was northbound in the turn lane. The bus driver reported he attempted "an S curve to negotiate" around the traffic and the bus came in contact with Manuel's vehicle's front bumper.

7:25 p.m. A resident of Asboth Street reported finding a wheelchair near the intersection of Carr Street and Lynn Drive; it was reported to be causing a traffic hazard.

Wednesday, April 30

8:42 a.m. Kurt Descheler, 49, Pea Ridge, was cited for dog at large and no city tags when he went to the Police station to pick up his dog which was found at Pea Ridge City Park and taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

Thursday, May 1

1:30 p.m. As a result of an investigation, police arrested Lewis E. Gillum, 44, Pea Ridge, for felony failure to register/failure to comply with reporting requirements; and misdemeanor incorrect address on driver's license. He was booked into the Benton County Jail; bond was set at $12,000.

1:45 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Chris Martinez, 18, Pea Ridge, for driving on a suspended driver's license.

Friday, May 2

7:16 a.m. Police were dispatched to Emery Boulevard for a breaking or entering theft complaint. The owner of a construction company reported a miter saw and kerosene heater were missing from a residence which was under construction. A window, valued at about $125, was also broken.

1:31 p.m. As a result of numerous reports from concerned citizens and aware of similar complaints in the past, police investigated a residence on Patton Street for the number of dogs in the residence. The resident said she had four dogs on which she had licenses and admitted she had 10 additional dogs without licenses. She gave permission for police to enter the house and police immediately saw 12 dogs. She said someone in Missouri gave dogs to her and that other people keep dumping dogs off at her house. Police took all but the four she had registered, in compliance with the city's ordinance. The Benton County Sheriff's Office canine officer assisted with his truck. Ultimately, 13 dogs were confiscated. It was also determined that a relative was temporarily in the home with three additional dogs with current rabies shots. She was advised to get the dogs registered with the city and to leave soon. Elizabeth Shelton, 67, Pea Ridge, was cited for violation of the city's dog ordinance.

11:55 a.m. Police assisted Pea Ridge Fire Department at the scene of a grass fire on Turner Way. As a result of the investigation, Kent Richardson, 70, Pea Ridge was cited for violation of the city's ordinance about open burning. A fence was damaged.

Saturday, May 3

2:52 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, David Chaase Dunlap, 22, Bentonville, was arrested for DWI 3 and careless and prohibited driving. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

12:21 p.m. Police took a report of a parking lot accident which occured at Dollar General between vehicles owned by Clifford E. Taylor, 70, Pea Ridge, and James Skinner, 28, Pea Ridge. According to the report, Taylor was backin gout of a parking space and his car collided with the vehicle owned by Skinner, which was unoccupied at the time. Taylor told police he did not realize he had hit the vehicle and left the scene. A witness provided license plate numbers.

5:52 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Carlos James Mesa, 20, Pineville, Mo., for driving on a suspended driver's license and no proof of insurance and a warrant out of Bentonville. He was transferred to Bentonville Police.

8:50 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Christopher T. Jones, 28, Hiwassee, for driving on a suspended driver's license. He was also cited for speeding. While booking Jones into the jail, it was discovered there were two active warrants for his arrest, one from Rogers and one from Lowell. The passenger in the vehicle, Rodriguez Rafael Munoz, 26, Bella Vista, was arrested on warrants from both Pea Ridge and Lowell.

Sunday, May 4

1:19 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Jedidihah Jenkins, 21, Seligman, Mo., for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for Bentonville. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.
