Monday, March 10

5:40 p.m. Police were dispatched to Zachary Street for a dog running through the neighborhood. Police were unable to locate the dog.

Tuesday, March 11

10 a.m. Police received a complaint from residents on Hutchinson Street about a dog being left at the residence after the residents moved out. When the former resident was contacted, he said the dog wasn't his. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

11:35 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wade Lane for a harassing communications report involving a 29-year-old woman claiming a 20-year-old male continually texting her asking her to have sex with him. Police contacted the male and told him not to contact the woman.

Thursday, March 13

7:15 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Luke Street for a breaking or entering complaint. The residents told police that both of their vehicles were broken into overnight and miscellaneous items were missing. Both vehicles were left unlocked. Items missing included phone chargers, backpack, blanket, prescription bottle containing medication. The medication can be lethal if improperly used, according to the report.

2:31 a.m. A resident of Greer Street reported the city's burn pile was on fire with flames as high as 12 feet. The Fire Department was dispatched to a grass/brush fire. The fire was not deemed to be out of control. No suspects were found. A firefighter said the cause of the fire was arson. The county fire marshal concurred the cause was likely arson.

7:45 p.m. A resident of Luke Street reported someone had entered his vehicle sometime the previous night and removed a Dell laptop computer. He said the computer was in a bag which also contained other items.

8:59 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Mitchell Lane for a verbal disturbance between a father and son. During the investigation, it was learned that the argument was verbal, not physical, between a 17-year-old male and a 34-year-old male. The youth left the residence to spend the night with his fiance with his father's permission.

Friday, March 14

2:48 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Howard Lee Ames, 48, Seligman, Mo., for DWI, he was also cited for no taillights. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

7:20 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Lee Town Drive for a report of a dog attacking another dog. The dog's owner said he had just walked onto his front porch with one of his small dogs, that it was still dark outside and that he heard his dogs yelping. He said he found two large dogs attacking his small dog. He took his dog to a veterinarian. The two dogs were found running away from Lee Town towards Davis Street. The dogs were caught and taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. The owner of the female dog was contacted. He said she had run off the night before. He, Eddie Talburt, 54, Pea Ridge, was cited for dog at large. The male dog belonged to Klassy Erwin, 23, Pea Ridge, who was contacted. She said her dog ran away the night before. Her dog, which had blood on its face and neck, will be quarantined for 10 days. Erwin was cited for dog at large and no current city tags.

10:45 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Washburn Drive for a suspicious circumstance call. The resident said four juvenile males attempted to enter his residence through the back door. Other area residents said they saw the four males walking through the neighborhood. Police were unable to locate them.

Saturday, March 15

10:30 a.m. A resident of Cardin Road reported vandalism to his shop involving a window broken about a week ago and eggs on the siding and roof. Police contacted a nearby resident who said she did notice eggs missing from her refrigerator. Her 12-year-old son admitted to throwing snowballs at the building previously and accidentally breaking the window and later throwing eggs at the building. The mother agreed to replace the broken window. No charges were filed.

1:30 p.m. Police arrested Justin Lee Waldron, 25, Pea Ridge, as a registered sex offender living near a school, public park, youth center or daycare. According to the report, Waldron was paroled to that address upon his release from prison and, two months ago, was told he had 30 days to move as he was out of compliance with his probation. At that time, Waldron told police he was moving to Rogers.

Sunday, March 16

1:32 p.m. Police assisted Little Flock Police at a residence at Village Across the Creek apartments with a report of a suicidal subject holding a knife to his throat.

2:01 p.m. Alarm at Pea Ridge Middle School. Police found school personnel on site; the building was secure.
