Granny's Quilts of Love

Granny's Quilts of Love met at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 18, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. Eighteen members were present. Mary Margaret Webb opened the meeting.

The ladies cut 200 quilt kits. The total quilts made is 17,274, 4,277 pillows and 1,738 hats.

The club is recruiting women to join to sew quilts for the children at Arkansas Children's Hospital. The Granny's furnish all the materials to make the quilts. The club always meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge, 1300 N. Davis St.

The quilts are made of one piece material size 45" x 56" of a cartoon character or a Disney print. Once a child has received a quilt, it is theirs to keep as a reminder of how much they are loved. Through a quilt, club members can help give a little joy and comfort to a child in a crucial time of their life.

The next meeting will be 9:30 a.m. March 18 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge.
