Please return DVDs

In an earlier column I wrote that the library was asking if any of the local civic groups and clubs would be interested in using the display units in the library for a month at a time for the reminder of this year. Granny's Quilts of Love was quick to respond as was the Pea Ridge Historical Society. You should come by the library to see their display. It incorporates their history as well as Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day. It is colorful and cheery -- just what we need with this winter weather.

After a lot of time-consuming work the DVD Cases only are back on the shelves. The actual DVD's are stored elsewhere to prevent further theft. Now if I could just get some of the ones that have been borrowed and are long overdue returned!!! Personally I think it is shameful that a few inconsiderate people can ruin a good thing for those who abide by the rules.

Our computers are really getting a work-out now that tax season is upon us. The library does not have any tax forms or booklets. It seems that many people are having a difficult time trying them. If you have been able to locate any, please call the library and let us know where so we can pass that information on.

There were a number of donations to the library in February and consequently there a number of books for sale – fiction and non-fiction for children and adults; as well as cookbooks and magazines. All the books that were purchased a week ago are on the shelves. You can always ask to be put on the reserve list for a title you want to read but is already on loan.

We have been in our "new" home a little less than a year and already we are thinking expansion. When we were moving our thoughts were all about how would we ever fill up all that space! And now it is how long it will be before we run out of space! We knew we would grow but just not sure any of us expected it to be so quickly. Let us know if there is something you would like to see that is not currently offered. It will take some time to raise the funds for expansion but it doesn't hurt to dream!

See you at the library!
