Community for a Cause 5K run/walk was a great success, according to coordinator Courtney Hurst. The event raised money to help with medical costs for a former Pea Ridge student, Berkeley Mardis.

"I am blown away at the support received for this event," Hurst wrote on her Facebook page. "Thank you Braxton Hurst, Kim Brown, Nikki Van Dyke and Debbie Van Dyke for helping make this possible and for giving of your time and talents. I appreciate each of you more than you will ever know. Thank you to all of the sponsors, volunteers and participants who donated and gave of their time to this cause."
