Times office closed

The business office of the Times of Northeast Benton County in Pea Ridge will close Wednesday, June 4. Business operations will move to the Rogers Morning News office at 313 S. Second St. in Rogers.

The Times will continue publishing on its regular production schedule, covering the important events in and around Pea Ridge.

Closing the office in leased space in Pea Ridge and moving operations to a building owned by the paper's parent company, NWA Media, will improve the paper's financial position, according to publisher Kent Marts.

Changes in the way customers conduct business with the newspaper reduced the number of people coming to the office, Marts said, reducing the need for the space. Customers can still contact the newspaper through its existing telephone and fax numbers and conduct classified advertising business online at nwaonline.com/classifieds.

The Times was started in January 1966 by Jim and Marge Edgmon and purchased by Earle and Billie Jines in January 1967. It is now owned by Northwest Arkansas Newspapers LLC.The newspaper's phone number will remain the same, 479-451-1196. The fax number will also remain the same: 479-451-9456.
