Sunshine bars
Recipe by Phillip Miser, in the Country Classics published by Battlefield 4-H Club
1 c. margerine
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp soda
6 oz. chocolate chips
2 egg whites
1/2 c. brown sugar
Cream oleo and sugars and add egg yolks, water and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Spread in greased 10- by 13-inch pan. Beat whites with brown sugar. Spread on batter. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
