The Times is committed to community

As technology improves and the use of it increases, it is more accessible to more people. The use of technology, including computers, "smart" phones, tablets and other internet-capable devices is more prominent that just a decade ago. There are people who predict the demise of print media. That was predicted with the advent of radio, and again with television.

Many newspapers now have an online edition, some are free and some are paid. Information from Harvard's Nieman Journalism Lab states that 96 percent of newspaper reading is still done in the print editions.

The Times no longer has an office in town, but it is still published every week. We still attempt to cover all public meetings and events.

The TIMES of Northeast Benton County, aka Pea Ridge Times, is committed to covering local news. It is a small weekly newspaper by newspaper standards.

The staff of the Times is committed to covering local news and publishing photographs of local people and events. We know our readers get their state and national news from television, radio, Internet and daily newspapers.

We rely on you -- our readers, our community neighbors -- to provide us with the news, photographs and ideas about what is important to you.

Please contact us by e-mail at [email protected] or by placing information in the drop box at Arvest Bank. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership for many more years.
